The turtle in the Sun

Baslow edge - Peak District (UK)

This rock formation on top of the edge lost around some lovely heater is called “The Turtle” due to its shape. At sunrise, the glow of the sun shined on its back like it was waiting for the day to start to sunbathe. I enjoy watching the contrast that the sun naturally creates in the scene. After capturing these photographs, I savoured a well earn coffee sitting on the edge to the other side contemplating the small village of Baslow being lit slowly by our rising star.
